Position Overview

Little Miracles Daycare is seeking caring, dependable Assistant Teachers to support our classrooms across multiple age groups. Assistant Teachers play an essential role in creating a safe, nurturing, and Christ-centered environment while supporting daily routines, learning activities, and active supervision of children.

Assistant Teachers work under the guidance of the Lead Teacher and center leadership.

• Starting pay: $17/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom routines and activities

• Support active supervision and ensure the safety and well-being of all children

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment

• Assist with meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and nap routines as age-appropriate

• Support age-appropriate learning activities and play-based curriculum

• Model positive behavior, patience, and respectful communication

• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures

• Communicate professionally with staff and families

Faith Qualifications

• Must be a practicing Christian who supports and upholds the mission and values of Little Miracles Daycare

• Willingness to model Christ-centered values such as kindness, patience, compassion, and respect

 

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)

• Ability to meet all Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) licensing requirements​

 

Additional Requirements (or willingness to obtain)

• Valid Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (child care) or ability to obtain

• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Proof of required immunizations or approved exemption per ADHS regulations

• Ability to pass background checks and meet licensing requirements

• Reliable, positive, and team-oriented attitude

• A genuine passion for working with children and families
