Position Overview

Little Miracles Daycare is a Christian-based childcare center seeking qualified Lead Teachers for our Infant, Preschool (3–4 years), and Pre-K (4–5 years) classrooms. Lead Teachers are responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while supporting children’s growth developmentally, socially, academically, and spiritually.

This role works closely with the Director and Assistant Director to ensure classroom excellence, family communication, and full compliance with Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Preschool & Pre-K Classroom Leadership

• Lead and manage an Infant, Preschool, or Pre-K classroom in compliance with Arizona child care regulations

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities

• Integrate Christian values—kindness, patience, respect, and compassion—into daily routines and instruction

• Ensure active supervision, safety, and well-being of all children at all times

• Maintain required teacher-to-child ratios

• Guide and mentor Assistant Teachers and classroom staff

• Maintain classroom documentation, lesson plans, and daily family communication

• Support children’s developmental milestones appropriate to each age group

• Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures

• Collaborate with leadership to support center goals and continuous improvement

 

Qualifications – Lead Teacher (Arizona / Maricopa County)
Candidates must meet Lead Teacher qualifications and demonstrate leadership readiness. One or more of the following is required:

• High school diploma or GED plus 12+ months of child care experience

• High school diploma or GED plus 12 college credit hours in early childhood education, child development, or a related field

• Associate’s degree or higher in early childhood education, child development, education, or a related field

• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
   

Experience working with Preschool and/or Pre-K children is strongly preferred.

• Must be a practicing Christian who supports and upholds the mission and values of Little Miracles Daycare

• Comfortable incorporating faith-based principles into classroom instruction and daily interactions

• Willing to model Christ-centered behavior for children, families, and staff

 

Additional Requirements (or willingness to obtain)

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Valid Arizona Level I Fingerprint Clearance Card (child care)

• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Proof of required immunizations or approved exemption per ADHS regulations

• Ability to pass background checks and meet all licensing requirements

• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Genuine passion for nurturing and educating young children
